How to buy Tron on Binance?

Founded in 2017 by Justin Sun (BitTorrent’s CEO), the Tron Foundation native token (TRX), quickly rose in the rankings as one of the most profitable crypto assets in the market.

Its initial coin offering (ICO) was held back in 2017, creating 100 billion TRX and raising a total of $70 million.

Recently, it has received the nickname “Ethereum killer”, and it’s looking forward to becoming the largest blockchain-based operating system for smart contracts and DApps.

From November 2018 through the end of January 2019, the price of Tron had doubled, being one of the top 10 digital coins.

So, if you want to know how to buy Tron on Binance, you came to the right place.

Tron (TRX) unfortunately is not available at Coinbase, as it is not yet being considered one of the major crypto assets in the market. However, there is no need for concern, as we will easily walk you across the whole process.

1) You Need ETH or BTC

For that, you can use Coinbase. Users who don’t have any BTC or ETH to trade for TRX must acquire some amount just to get started.

As Coinbase has an easy-to-use interface, if you don’t have any BTC or ETH whatsoever, just go to their official platform, create an account and easily purchase the needed amount for exchanging TRX. Pay attention, because you will have to purchase a bit more, so you can cover transaction fees.

2) Choose Your Favorite Crypto Exchange and Create Your Account

Check your exchange of choice to see if it supports exchanging BTC or ETH for TRX. We can recommend three major exchanges, considering reputation and performance: Binance, Bitfinex, and Bittrex.

In this guide, we are using Binance to demonstrate the process, so if you want to have a similar account just create an account on their network by clicking on Register, and then filling the required information. Now, you just need to confirm the account using your email address and that’s it.

3) Prepare a Deposit Address for Your TRX Funds

So, now you have to find your deposit address to place your ETH or BTC. When using Binance, you just need to click in “Funds”, select “Deposit” option at the top of the dashboard and it allows you to choose what is the currency you’ll opt for deposits.

After you choose if you want to use either BTC or ETH, you will have access to your deposit address, with options to show an exclusive QR Code or copy it for security purposes.

4) Sending your Cryptocurrency of Choice from Coinbase

For analogy purposes, we are using Coinbase as the pattern here. However, other similar platforms require pretty much the same steps, so there is no need to lose your head.

You just have to enter your deposit address (check the prior topic) and choose the amount of BTC or ETH you want to send over there.

Click on the “Accounts” tab, and you will see available wallets on the left side of the dashboard. There are two buttons, “Send” and “Receive”. As we are using Bitcoin, just enter the amount of BTC you want and send it for your deposit address.

The whole process will take just some minutes, and right after you will be able to see the BTC you’ve just bought within your wallet.

5) Purchasing Tron (TRX) Coins Using your Cryptocurrency of Choice

Now, we are going to take the Bitcoin we had bought previously and use it to trade for Tron (TRX). Just search for “TRX/BTC” in the Binance’s search box and identify the proper pair before selecting it.
